Grant Info Session with Arts Council Chair Kaye Carroll – September 16 at Bombyx
Northampton Arts Council Chair Kaye Carroll will lead a Grant Information Session on Tuesday, September 16, from 6:30–8:00 PM at the Bombyx Center for Arts & Equity. The session is designed to raise awareness about the Northampton Arts Council’s 2026 Local Cultural Council (LCC) grant program.
Carroll — who uses they/them pronouns and has served as Chair since October 2023 — was invited by Bombyx to host this workshop so that community members interested in applying for LCC funding can learn more about how grant proposals are reviewed and scored. Attendees will gain insights into key criteria used by the Council, examples of strong applications, and practical tips for presenting projects effectively.
“My goals for this workshop are accessibility and transparency,” Carroll explains. “I want people who are going to take time to apply for this grant to have a strong understanding of what kind of projects the arts council is looking to fund, and what rubric we use to help make our decisions.”
They add that while much of this information is available on the Council’s website, the in-person format offers an alternative way to connect and ask questions directly.
The workshop is free and open to the public, but advance registration is encouraged.
