Grant Opportunities
The following information details our current and upcoming grant opportunities supporting cultural sector individuals, organizations, and Massachusetts communities.
We have indicated if the grant is for individuals and/or organizations. Depending on the program, "organizations" may include cultural organizations, nonprofits, schools, cities/towns, unincorporated groups or collaboratives, for-profits, etc. Review the program guidelines for detailed eligibility information and to apply.
Local Cultural Council Program
OPEN NOW / DEADLINE: October 16, 2025
Who can apply: Individuals and Organizations
Every community in Massachusetts is served by a Local Cultural Council (LCC), led by municipally appointed volunteers who administer an annual grant program to support local cultural projects. Individuals, groups, and organizations may apply. Grant amounts vary, and applications are submitted directly to each LCC.Tribal Cultural Council Program

Who can apply: Individuals and Organizations
Led by tribally appointed volunteers who administer an annual grant program to support local cultural projects that provide benefit to the tribal communities. Individuals, groups, and organizations may apply. Grant amounts vary, and applications are submitted directly to each Tribal Cultural Council.Grants For Creative Individuals

Who can apply: Individuals
This program aims to equitably advance creative expression throughout the Commonwealth with unrestricted grants to Massachusetts artists, culture bearers, and creative individuals. Grants are $5,000.
Cultural Facilities Fund (CFF)
OPENS: October 9, 2025 / DEADLINE: December 11, 2025 (corrected date, update your calendar)
Who can apply: Organizations
Grants to support the acquisition, design, repair, rehabilitation, renovation, expansion, or construction of nonprofit cultural facilities. Nonprofit cultural organizations, municipalities, and colleges or universities that own or lease cultural facilities are eligible to apply. Grants range from $7,000 to $200,000. Managed in partnership with MassDevelopment.
YouthReach
OPENS: February 5, 2026/ DEADLINE: April 2, 2026
Who can apply: Organizations
Grants to Creative Youth Development programs that integrate substantive and ongoing arts, humanities, and science opportunities into a collaborative community response.
Creative Experiences
OPENS: March 3, 2026 / DEADLINE: April 30, 2026
Who can apply: Organizations
Grants to organizations (including schools) to fund festivals, projects, residencies, and other cultural activities in the arts, humanities, and sciences. Grants are $2,500 or $5,000.

If your organization is led by and serves Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), Latinx, Asian, Native American, Pacific Islander, and all other ethnicities of color — complete this self-identification form in advance of completing your grant application and help ensure that our BIPOC constituents are being more equitably served.
