Shir Livne asks “What makes a “good mom”?” in ‘MOM*’ at The 33 Hawley Workroom February 13 and 14th

Shir Livne asks “What makes a “good mom”?” in ‘MOM*’, a one-woman circus show about motherhood, coming to The Workroom at 33 Hawley in Northampton, MA, on February 13 and 14

NORTHAMPTON, MASSACHUSETTS– What makes a “good mom”? ‘MOM*’ shines a light on the inner thoughts that we have as potential mothers, stepmothers, bio-moms, and daughters. What did we expect things to feel like, and how do they actually feel? Shir Livne shares her truths in this tour de force solo performance, presenting her absurdist take on motherhood through circus, storytelling, and pages upon pages of fiery teenage journals. The show plays at 6 p.m. on February 13th and 8 p.m. on February 14th at The Workroom at 33 Hawley in Northampton, MA.

The show has toured in Boston, Philadelphia, NYC, Chicago, and Connecticut. Says attendee Johnny Blazes, “Shir’s unique style of performance is simultaneously warm and vulnerable, while also being slightly (and delightfully) deranged. Watching MOM* is like being in an intimate conversation with your best friend in her living room, if her living room were also a carnival funhouse full of teen angst and too many plastic baby dolls.”
