The Taste of Northampton Returns September 12–13 with More Food, More Music, and More Fun

The Downtown Northampton Association (DNA) is excited to announce the return of The Taste of Northampton on Saturday, September 12, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, September 13, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in downtown Northampton. The free, family-friendly festival brings together the very best of the city's food, music, local businesses, and community for an unforgettable weekend.

This year's Taste of Northampton is expanding in exciting ways. The festival will feature two live music stages, bringing even more entertainment to downtown throughout the weekend. While this year's headliners and full entertainment lineup are still under wraps, attendees can expect an exciting mix of regional favorites, local performers, and headlining acts to be announced in the coming weeks.

Food remains at the heart of the festival, with more than 30 restaurants showcasing the incredible culinary talent that has made Northampton one of New England's premier dining destinations. Visitors can sample everything from longtime local favorites to exciting new flavors while exploring downtown's unique collection of independent shops, galleries, and businesses.

The 2026 festival also introduces several new experiences designed to make The Taste of Northampton even more enjoyable for visitors of all ages. A new Health & Wellness Hub will feature local health, fitness, and wellness organizations offering demonstrations, information, and interactive activities. Families will also enjoy an expanded Kid Zone, presented by A2Z Science & Learning and WillowRoot, featuring hands-on educational activities, creative play, and engaging experiences designed especially for children throughout the weekend.

"The Taste of Northampton is all about celebrating what makes our downtown such a special place," said Amanda Shafii, Chair of the Downtown Northampton Association. "This year we're creating an even bigger experience with two music stages, exciting new attractions, and an incredible lineup of restaurants. Whether you're coming for the food, the music, shopping, or simply to spend the day downtown with family and friends, there's something for everyone."

“Last year’s Taste of Northampton was a fantastic success, and I’m thrilled to see it continue to grow,” said Mayor Gina-Louise Sciarra. “This year’s event will bring even more food, music, and activity downtown. It’s a wonderful weekend that celebrates our restaurants, music venues, local businesses, and the incredible community that makes downtown Northampton such a special place. I can’t wait to see everyone downtown in September.”

The Taste of Northampton has become one of the region's signature community events, welcoming thousands of visitors to experience Northampton's vibrant downtown. Beyond providing a memorable weekend for attendees, the festival supports local restaurants, retailers, artists, nonprofits, and small businesses while showcasing the creativity and energy that make Northampton a destination throughout New England.

Additional announcements, including the music lineup, participating restaurants, vendors, exhibitors, and festival attractions, will be released in the coming weeks.
