About the Event
The Northampton Arts Council proudly presents the 36th annual summer celebration of music, culture, and community—Transformance 36: Moonage Daydream - A Look to Space—returning to the iconic Pines Theater at Look Park on Tuesday, August 18th.
Formerly known to long-time fans as Transperformance, this beloved single-day festival invites the Pioneer Valley’s most talented local musicians to completely transform into legendary artists from around the world. It is a dynamic, high-energy tribute to musical icons who transcend borders, genres, and generations.

This year’s theme, Moonage Daydream, honors our unique home in the cosmos. Prepare for a stellar night of performances inspired by intergalactic superstars, cosmic innovators, and astral travelers.

🏛️ Card to Culture Program (Accessible Admission)
We proudly participate in the Card to Culture Program, making our events accessible to everyone. EBT, WIC, and ConnectorCare health plan insurance cardholders can enjoy FREE admission to any Northampton Arts Council ticketed event, including Transformance.
Please note: Free tickets are available only on the day of the show. Simply present your EBT, WIC, or ConnectorCare card at the Pines Theater box office when you arrive.

Transformance is far more than just an incredible outdoor concert—it is a vital community fundraiser. 100% of the organizational proceeds from this event go directly toward supporting arts enrichment in Northampton Public Schools and local Parent Teacher Organizations (P.T.O.s).
⚠️ PLEASE NOTE: All ticket sales are final. Because this is a benefit show, no refunds will be issued. If you are unable to attend, we warmly encourage you to give your tickets to a friend or consider your purchase a generous donation to the cause!

Local Food & Drink: Come hungry! We have a stellar lineup of local food, coffee, treats, and pizza vendors, including Bueno y Sano, Little Wall, Herrell’s Ice Cream, Wake the Dead Donuts, and local pizza from Joe's Cafe, Florence Pizza, Starrs Pizza, Big Y, State Street Fruit Store, Cooper’s Corner, and Domino’s.
A2Z KidsZone: Bring the whole family! A2Z Science and Learning Store will be setting up a dedicated KidsZone inside the Pines Theater featuring a variety of fun children's activities.
Seating: The Pines Theater is an outdoor lawn venue. We highly encourage bringing blankets and lawn chairs to settle in for a beautiful night of music.
Park Rules: Per Look Park's strict request, please refrain from bringing pets, coolers, or outside beverages.
Look Park Entry Fee: Look Park charges a $10 special events entry fee for all vehicles without season passes. This fee directly helps support the maintenance and operation of the park, ensuring a pleasant environment for everyone. We highly recommend carpooling or biking via the local bike path!
