YOUNG@HEART PRESENTS YOUNG@HEART MEETS YOUNG@HEART NYC
On Sunday, April 26 at 3PM Young@Heart introduces the brand new Young@Heart NYC. After 44 years of being based solely out of Western Massachusetts, Young@Heart has started a second group in New York City. Since September 2025 singers have been meeting weekly at the Abrons Art Center, part of the Henry Street Settlement, to create our first- ever satellite group. The New York group had their debut show on March 10 in Brooklyn with the Brooklyn Youth Chorus, which was a benefit for the New Sanctuary Coalition, an organization led by and for immigrants.
Young@Heart in Western Mass. will be singing songs related to or written in New York City – and Y@H NYC has an eclectic repertoire that includes songs by Richard Hell and the Voidoids, Stevie Wonder, Joan Armatrading, Jelly Roll and much more.
There will be video cameos during the show from Gloria Estefan, Paul Shaffer and others to be named soon.
The Henry Street Settlement is a not-for-profit social service agency on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, New York City that provides social services, arts programs and health care services to New Yorkers of all ages. It was founded under the name Nurses' Settlement in 1893 by progressive reformer and nurse Lillian Wald.
