The 31st Annual Friends of Forbes Library Northampton Garden Tour will take place Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine. Lovers of gardens and fans of Forbes Library will explore six delightful home gardens. The Tour raises funds to support Northampton’s historic public library.
We hope the tour will inspire and educate with a variety of landscape styles, plants, and gardening methods. The care and skill that has been poured into these gardens is extraordinary. Each garden has plant descriptions and volunteer guides to answer your questions. There will be live music and a plein-air painter for your enjoyment. Join us along this 12 mile scenic route, bicyclists are welcome. Tickets provide garden locations and parking guidance. You provide your own transportation to all gardens on the tour.
Tour tickets are $20 if bought in advance and $25 on the day of the event.
Purchase tickets May 5 through June 13 at Bay State Perennial Farm (Whately), Cooper’s Corner (Florence), State Street Fruit Store (Northampton), Gardener’s Supply Company (Hadley), Sugarloaf Gardens (Sunderland), or at Forbes Library.
Option to prepay online May 5 through June 11 and pick up tickets at Forbes Library the week of the tour.
Pay for your ticket on Friends of Forbes Library website friends.forbes library.org. Then pick up these tickets in person at Forbes Library before attending the tour. Pick up online tickets ONLY ON Thursday June 12, 4pm-8 pm; Friday June 13, 10am-6pm; and Saturday, June 14 (tour day) from 10am-1pm.
Day of tour tickets are $25 and ONLY sold at Forbes Library from 10am-1pm on Saturday, June 14th.
All proceeds from the tour, raffle and t-shirt sales benefit the Friends of Forbes Library, Inc to support library programs, events, and projects that could not otherwise be funded.
